Extreme Home Digital Media Centre

My DIY streaming media server which is capable of recording and playing video as well as managing all my media files and entertainment system.

I am documenting this project as best I can in hopes that others may find it useful or provide tips on ways to make it better. The process is long, so I haven’t had time to complete the document.

Audio Stream PC

A self contained portable headless computer which is capable of streaming and recording locally, live audio/video to a remote server using Linux. Best of all it will cost less than $200.00 and be smaller than an 8.5″x11″ sheet of paper!

Media AJAX Browser

A simple to use media browser which is web oriented which allows you to efficiently manage and organize your photos, movies, and important documents using various tagging and grouping with a click of a mouse. Because of its design, it can run locally, or on a server.

It would be nice to open source this project but at the current time, I do not have the time to manage this project. Also, its current state is highly experimental.

Finally a web community to share information and expand the minds of those who love motorcycling.
