Motorcycling

I have a huge passion for motorcycling and each year it only grows. This page will be outlining my riding, and will possibly be broken up into sub pages as each section becomes larger and more defined.

I don’t just want to ride, I eventually want to make some sort of impact on the motorcycling industry/community. Motorcycling for me, is not a pass time, it is a passion, and something I want to do well and experience in as many ways as I can.

My goals for riding include:

  • Thoroughly ride as many brands, models, and sizes of bikes ranging from all displines of motorcycling. By thoroughly, I don’t mean a quick putt around a field or down a street.
  • Inspire people to join the motorcycling community in some way
  • Learn as much as I can about the industry from its roots to present

Street Riding

My main mode of transportation is a sport bike. Rain or shine.

I have come to realize how tough these machines are. You can ride them hard, fast, drop them and they still run. I have not had any problems with it and the bike is now 5+ years old! I bought this bike brand new, and had I known this, I would have purchased used. Never the less, I love this bike and will ride it until it no longer runs.

Bike Information:

Honda CBR600RR (2004) Black/Silver

Milestones:

Currently over 30,000 kms

Worst Riding:

I have ridden many times for hours on end, to the point that my wrists, back and neck hurt, but the worst riding experience (beside the close calls with other cars and animals) would have to be when I rode home for an hour and a half in tornado weather. The rain came down hard, and the wind was crazy strong, and branches were strewn all over the roads. It was impossible to see the road and thankfully I had caught up to a transport truck. His tail lights became my guiding light and allowed me to see what was approaching up ahead. By the time I was home I weighed 30 pounds more and was soaked to the bone.

Modifications:

Throttle Lock, Heated Grips, New battery, MotoHeaven.net stickers!, new K&M air filter

Trips

  • Iron Butt 1000 in 2005. Rode around Lake Huron in less than 22 hours nonstop.

Dream Bikes

One day when money permits, I will being my motorcycle collection. I have always wanted to have a motorcycle collection. Here are a few bikes that I would love to have for various reasons.

List coming soon.
